This guest lecture, co-hosted by SHLC and CR&DALL, Nilanjana Bhattacharjee will present a Participatory Action Research conducted by Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA), New Delhi on the lived experiences of women sanitation workers in the informal settlements of Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh), Ajmer (Rajasthan) and Muzaffarpur (Bihar) in India.

A Canadian initiative that provides free legal services to low-income people has won the Professor Sir David Watson Award for Community University Partnerships

The Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City Inc. (CLASSIC) initiative was founded in 2007 by three law students at the University of Saskatchewan. It is the only community legal clinic in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan and serves over 1100 individuals a year – with a commitment to Indigenous people – through three key programmes: a walk-in advocacy clinic, legal advice clinic and special projects that address systemic issues.

PRIA International Academy (PIA), the educational wing of PRIA, has launched a New Workshop on “Using Theory of Change for Greater Impact”. This Three-Day workshop will be held on 17-19 July 2019 at PRIA, New Delhi (India). The course will equip the students, researchers, development practitioners from CSOs, CSR programmes, and donors with strong perspectives on social and human development and rigorous analytical skills to develop programme and projects that can surely make a difference.
