Our 2019 Conference Lifelong Learning and Innovation, 10-12 April, 2019, is being held in Telford, the home of the Industrial Revolution. In keeping with this the conference will focus on these three themes:

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) organised a special International Consultative Meeting on Lifelong Learning to discuss a coming Handbook on Lifelong Learning Policy and its four chapters, one of them on Learnnig Cities, with more than 30 invited experts on lifelong learning from 18 countries in plenaries and workshop dialogues.

In this edition of the L&W Newsletter you should note in particular several calls for papers relating to international conferences on Researching Work and Learning (RWL 11) in Giessen, Human resource development (UFHRD 2019) in Nottingham, HRD and workplace learning in Gothenburg, Lifelong learning and innovation (UALL 2019) in Telford (see Conferences) and on Career development (NICEC) in Manchester (see Networks and Organisations) and the Routledge handbook on organization and human resource management (see Publications). This 2-day seminar (3-4 September 2018), was planned and carried out by the PASCAL International Membership Association (PIMA).  It was hosted and partnered by the Institute for Lifelong Learning and Sustainable Development (Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences [BAES]) and the Beijing Adult Education Association.
