The Researching Multilingually at the Borders of Language, the Body, Law and the State ("RM Borders") project is delighted to have with us (at very short notice) our esteemed colleague Nazmi Al-Masri who will present the research and teaching his university has been doing with the AHRC RM Borders project.  This seminar will look at creativity and language in situations of extreme humanitarian need.  We can guarantee some very positive stories.

Persistent inequality in education and skills causes widespread concern, not least because it is seen to contribute to rising income inequality and also to declines in social mobility in some countries. Yet, as the proliferating evidence from international skills surveys shows, countries vary considerably in degrees of skills inequality both amongst young people and adults.
