Peter was the founder of the PASCAL PIE program and former director of PASCAL Learning Cities Networks (LCN).

Cities Programme Update, October 2017

The UN Global Compact Cities Programme Update looks at Habitat III outcomes, especially in relation to the New Urban Agenda derived from the Sustainable Development Goals. Over 70 countries met recently in New York for a Leaders Summit. Cities in Crisis, especially those with recent natural disasters, has also been a focus topic of programmes around the world.

Al Wakra City, Qatar, gets strong endorsement from National Commission on its membership of the UNESCO UIL GNLC

The Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science officially announced on 26 September that Al Wakra City, (part of Al Wakrah Municipality) in the State of Qatar, has joined the UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning (UIL) Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC).
