Learning Cities and Communities nurturing Wellbeing and Democracy is the title of our joint research that I have been undertaking with Professor Yukiko Sawano from the Sacred Heart University in Tokyo. We are both members of the ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub, Research Network 6 for Learning Cities and Communities, that promotes research activities on the topic between Asia and Europe.

We are pleased to make available the book of abstracts of the 5th International Conference in Urban and Regional Planning (ICURP) and the 18th PASCAL conference, Sustainable Development Futures: From Knowledge to Practice, held in Manila from 12-13 November 2024.

The 2nd webinar of the PASCAL Learning City Network dedicated to faith and spirituality was held on 25^th September 2024, and focused on  art and faith in the learning city, discussing the diverse spectrum of intervention tools for supporting learning communities.
