Ten cities receive UNESCO Award for their outstanding achievements in lifelong learning

We are very pleased to report news concerning the ten cities who received the UNESCO Learning City Award 2024 at the opening of the Sixth International Conference on Learning Cities in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 2 December 2024.

These are:

  • Benguerir, Kingdom of Morocco
  • Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire
  • Cork, Ireland
  • Cuenca, Ecuador
  • Doha, Qatar
  • Eunpyeong-gu, Republic of Korea
  • Glasgow, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
  • Querétaro, Mexico
  • Wuhan, People’s Republic of China

PASCAL is particularly pleased that the city of Glasgow, a learning city since 1999, and the city of Cork (for the second time) have received the award since they are both members of PASCAL's Learning Cities Network. We will shortly provide a more detailed account of the work of the city of Glasgow.
