Learning Cities and Communities nurturing Wellbeing and Democracy is the title of our joint research that I have been undertaking with Professor Yukiko Sawano from the Sacred Heart University in Tokyo. We are both members of the ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub, Research Network 6 for Learning Cities and Communities, that promotes research activities on the topic between Asia and Europe.

The ALCN Ripples Newsletter for October 2024 welcomes two new members from rural and regional Tasmania – the Study Hub, West Coast and the Study Centre Circular Head. I am very pleased to report that I am representing PASCAL at the ASEAN+3 Regional Learning Cities Conference organised by the UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok (UNESCO Bangkok) together with the Program Management Unit on Area Based Development (PMU A) of Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
