Online Global Challenges Week - University of Derby
We are very pleased to provide details of a week of online events being hosted by the University of Derby under the theme of Global Challenges from 17-24 May 2021. This includes a conference session on 19 May from 0900-1100 that includes many presenters from PASCAL's Learning Cities Network (LCN).
The week features Peter Dewhurst (Director of Strategic Projects, University of Derby), Pauline Anderson (OBE, Derby City Council - Service Director) Judith James (former Head of Strategic Regional Collaboration. Swansea University and a PASCAL LCN leader), Shilpi Roy (Associate Professor of Urban and Rural Planning Discipline at Khulna University, Bangladesh) Professor Mike Osborne (Director of the Centre for Research and Development in Adult and Lifelong Learning and Co-director of the PASCAL Observatory on Place Management, Social Capital and Lifelong Learning) and the Rwandan Learning Cities Network contributors: Sebutege Ange, Mayor of Huye; Pierre Claver, University of Rwanda; Vincent Manirakiza, University of Rwanda (Kigali). Shilpi, Sebutege, Pierre, Vincent and Mike will also be drawing from their work within the Centre for Sustainable, Healthy, Learning Cities and Neighbourhoods, a major Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) project.
