Michael Osborne is Professor Emeritus, and was formerly Professor of Adult and Lifelong Learning at the University of Glasgow, and experienced in adult education, VET and Higher Education research, development and evaluation. He was Director of the Centre for Research and Development in Adult and Lifelong Learning within the School of Education and was Co-director of the PASCAL Observatory on Place Management, Social Capital and Lifelong Learning until 2024.
CENLED has partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry and is co-ordinating two programmes: 1) capacity building for universities to assist municipalities; 2) entrepreneurship centres of excellence for FET colleges. Secondly CENLED has partnered with the International Economic Development Council in Washington DC and all short learning programmes are internationally accredited. A new career path has been created for persons working in economic development.
Inés Sáenz is professor and researcher of Contemporary Latin American Literature, and Dean of the Graduate School of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey. As Dean, she has overall responsibility for the school’s research projects and academic graduate programs.
She earned an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research and teaching is focused on Contemporary Latin American fiction and its relationship to Peace Studies and to Visual Culture.
Ed Morrison is founder of I-Open, the Institute for Open Economic Networks, based in Cleveland, and publisher of EDPro (http://edpro-weblog.net), a popular weblog for economic development professionals. He is also economic policy advisor to the Center for Regional Development at Purdue University.
Jane has worked across a number of Departments in the Government of Victoria, Australia, leading the Government’s policy development and programs in Science, Technology and Innovation for a number of years before taking a position heading the policy division in the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD). In this role she developed the capacity to provide longer term intelligence to inform Government policy making using foresighting and technology roadmapping techniques.
Currently I am Vice-Principal, Internationalisation at the University of Glasgow. Previous I have held the office of Dean in the Faculty of Education. Prior to this I was the inaugural Head of the Faculty Graduate school, and before that, Head of the Department of Religious Education.
