Final draft of the third ICLC outcome document - "Call for Action"

The third UNESCO International Learning Cities conference endorsed the "Cork Call to Action". This involved a shift from global ideas and objectives to action at the local level.

PASCAL Board member Peter Kearns gave the keynote address today at the 14th PASCAL International Conference in Pretoria, South Africa, on the subject “How do we progress to a good human-centred sustainable world”. Peter was the founder of the PASCAL PIE program and former director of PASCAL Learning Cities Networks (LCN).

ALADIN Online Alert 17

The ALADIN Online Alert is a joint ALADIN initiative, produced bimonthly by the UIL Library and CDÉACF, with input from additional ALADIN members from all over the world. Its goal is to share recent online and full-text information and documents in the area of adult and lifelong learning.

Cities Programme Update, October 2017

The UN Global Compact Cities Programme Update looks at Habitat III outcomes, especially in relation to the New Urban Agenda derived from the Sustainable Development Goals. Over 70 countries met recently in New York for a Leaders Summit. Cities in Crisis, especially those with recent natural disasters, has also been a focus topic of programmes around the world.
