The Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS) will be hosting its fourth annual conference in partnership with The Melbourne Social Equity Institute, University of Melbourne at the University of Birmingham on 14 and 15 September 2017. The conference will draw together academics, community-based practitioners and researchers, policy makers and doctoral researchers from a range of disciplinary backgrounds to consider various aspects of research co-production with communities.

What makes a city ‘smart’ and how do we build one that works for everyone? How can we use technology to improve liveability, increase productivity and enhance citizenship engagement?
The International Science of Learning Conference 2017 will bring together leading researchers from around the world, including from the Australian Science of Learning Research Centre, the US National Science Foundation, University of Washington, International Bureau of Education UNESCO, and the University of Hong Kong. As well as the 2-day research program, a day-long public forum will be held on research translation and the policy implications of science of learning research.
