The 16th International Conference on Higher Education Reform (HER 2019) - Digital Society and Higher Education: Impact and Consequences for Policy - will be hosted by the Department of Educational Research, Center for Research and Advanced Studies in Mexico City on September 11-13, 2019. This is the first call for proposals.
Understanding and communicating the impact and potential benefits of research to a wide audience is an increasingly important task for higher education professionals. From realising the economic and social benefits of research work, to engaging with key industry and government contacts to create real-life impact, communicating the power of research has never been so important.
Now the University of Glasgow has established ‘Research Impact: Making a Difference’, a new short on-line course which shows those working with research how to better understand, create and communicate research impact.
Join us for a free public lecture by Dr Gabriele Suder, Director of the International CEO Forum and expert at the OECD (Services Competitiveness), the EU, JETRO and for the Australian Government (Commonwealth and State level).

From 2018–2020, the Jean Monnet Sustainable Development Goals Network Seminar Series will address each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each seminar focuses on an individual Goal, offering an opportunity to explore the intent of the Goal, its targets, and some of the initiatives being undertaken to deliver on them. Each seminar will be accompanied a Briefing Paper.
We have focused our work on the key policy area of what have come to be known as ‘Ordinary Working Families’ or the ‘Just About Managing’. Whatever the preferred term, the challenges facing people on low to medium incomes have remained high on the political agenda in recent years.
