Jean Preece B.A is an experienced  ICT Programme Manager and European Project Manager in the Department for Adult Continuing Education. She has managed the training of over 3,000 disadvantaged community learners in ICT and Personal Development with great success in achieving employment outcomes, including self-employment.

She has developed an HE Certificate  and Diploma, both delivered in  community venues,  which include  entrepreneurial skills for adult learners and has attended the Swansea University CPD programme for staff on embedding entrepreneurial skills and attitude development within the curriculum. 

Her project 'Swansea Arrivals' supported refugees and asylum seekers to integrate into the community. Together with Judith James she led a successful Grundtvig 3 year project (2003-2006)  'Parenting in a Multicultural European City' with 10 European partners (and Switzerland on a self-funded basis). Jean also participated in Transversal, Horizon, and Lingua projects, including the XPLOIT Multilateral project which focused on the exploitation of resources from earlier projects and the development of learning regions.
