Dr Jin Yang is currently a Senior Programme Specialist at the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) in Hamburg, Germany. He carries out research on lifelong learning policies and strategies, provides technical assistance for establishing lifelong learning systems in UNESCO Member States, and has facilitated the development of UIL’s initiative on learning cities.
Ken Gibb is a housing economist at the University of Glasgow who has recently taken up the role of Director of the University's new initiative, Policy Scotland. In addition, he is one of the Directors of What Works Scotland and convenor (with Josef Konvitz) of the International Legacy Network, which is holding its inaugural conference in the Mitchell Library from October 14-16 2015.
Joanne R. Dempsey is project co-director for the NIU/PASCAL efforts in South Africa to build a collaborative model for economic development through economic and entrepreneurship education. Prior to this work, Dempsey served as President and Executive Director of Econ Illinois for 17 years. Econ Illinois is part of Northern Illinois University’s Division of Outreach, Engagement and Information Technology, and is an affiliate of the national Council for Economic Education.
Dr Ming Cheng is a Senior Lecturer in Education at University of East Anglia, the UK. She has over 14 years’ international experience of teaching and research in British and Chinese universities. Her previous posts include Reader in Education at the University of Wolverhampton, Lecturer at Glasgow University, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Brighton, and Teaching Fellow at Zhengzhou University in China.
