New Hungarian adult education journal - Andragogy and Cultural Theory

Under scrutiny in the papers of the first issue of the 2014 volume of Andragogy and Cultural Theory are again the cultural contexts, with a special focus on the interrelatedness of the individual and the community. Ongoing or expected changes of attitudes are analysed in the fields of community education, adult learning and local perceptions of the built environment.

This paper has been prepared to provide some background and short overviews of selected issues with a set of questions for discussion at the Rolling Workshops which will be held in the period February to May 2015 in Ostersund, Glasgow, Catania, and Pecs to discuss how cultural policies and activities can be developed so as to contribute to sustaining learning cities and regions.
