A new book "Adult Education and Social Justice: International Perspectives" was published just before Xmas 2023 in honour of the adult educator par excellence, Professor Lalage Bown, who died just over two years ago. Edited by Maria Slowey, Heribert Hinzen, Michael Omolewa and myself, it contains contributions from many esteemed adult educators, many from the core CR&DALL team and others beyond, particularly those with connections to Africa.

And of course we must make a special mention of the late Srabani Maitra who also contributed one chapter. We offer thanks to Università degli Studi di Firenze Press, Paolo Federighi, Vanna Boffo and Arianna Antonielli for their help in seeing this project to fruition. This is an open-access publication available at this link, and it also featured below and attached for download.

There will be a launch of the book on 4 April 2024 at Somerville College, University of Oxford, the alma mater of Professor Bown. Details will be posted here shortly.
