Knowledge Cities World Summit (KCWS-2017) - Arequipa, Perú
The annual Knowledge Cities World Summit (KCWS-2017) will be hosted this year by the Peruvian city of Arequipa. Guarded by volcanoes, a wonderful climate, the city of eternal blue sky, the city that holds in its streets the magic of a historic past and ist continuity in the present, with its own label, with personality, style and spirit, a city of which one never gets tired to see and know, a city in which the mixture of the times flows harmoniously.
The 10th Knowledge Cities World Summit 2017, that has been held in countries around the world is coming to South America for the second time. Since Arequipa is willing to be an example for others who wish to follow the same path, the theme of ‘Emerging Knowledge Cities’ has been selected as the overall theme of KCWS-2017.
The Summit aims to contribute to the discussion on the importance and trends of Knowledge-based Development theory and practice. Academics, professional practitioners, civil servants and policy-makers from around the world are shall join the dialogue from a wide range of disciplines to share their knowledge and experiences with summit delegates. In addition to significant academic and professional presentations, the Summit also will provide opportunities for practical exercises in workshops and small group sessions in innovative formats.
Several speakers associated to the Pascal Observatory will participate, adding to the wealth on inputs representing the stat-of-the-art in urban knowledge-based development.
