Learning city for creative economy and sustainable development forum to take place in Vitebsk, Belarus - October 19-20, 2018
I’m delighted to report following my attendance and keynote presentation at the conference “Education for Values: Continuity and Context” in Moldova on April 27-28, 2018, PASCAL has been able to re-inforce its co-operation with DVV whose offices in Eastern Europe were represented strongly. This week I met Oleg Smirnov, Director, Representative office DVV International in Ukraine to discuss further co-operation during his visit to Scotland.
Furthermore PASCAL has been invited by Natash Pristrom, who works as a project manager at DVV International Belarus and who oversees the implementation of the program “Learning city for creative economy”, to speak at an event in Vitebsk. The program was launched in May 2017 and will come to an end in December 2018. The final major event within the program will be a forum “Learning city for creative economy and sustainable development” that will take place on October 19-20, 2018 in Vitebsk City. The forum will be devoted to summing up the results of the programme, discussing further prospects of cooperation and exchanging best practices and success stories in terms of implementing the concept “learning cities” and developing creative economies.
We are also delighted that Rob Mark who co-ordinates our Learning City work will attend the conference and speak about the work of PASCAL generally and about our Learning Cities Networks (LCN).
