In each of these webinars, our CDAF projects from Africa, Asia and Latin America will make short presentations of their work, followed by input by a respondent, and questions from those who attend.
Today the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings were announced with the University of Glasgow placed very highly internationally, especially in relation to SDG11 (making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe and sustainable), where it is placed second in the world. It is therefore apposite that we are able to announce the latest CR&DALL policy paper, authored by CR&DALL director, Professor Mike Osborne, and published jointly with the ASEM LLL Hub entitled National Lifelong Learning Policies and Learning Cities, which can be found at this link.
This PASCAL International Members Association (PIMA) webinar builds on the previous March 2022 session where participants worked in small groups to share ideas and experiences of effective climate justice education (CJE). This webinar continues to explore CJE, this time, using the power of creative expression and arts which can create spaces of imagination, hope, and even healing. Working in small groups, we will use a storywork and métissage approach, a form of creative engagement that combines and weaves together individual stories into a collective narrative.
Villa Maria hosted the First Meeting of Learning Cities of Argentina on March 10 and 11, 2022. Representatives from Argentinian cities members of the UNESCO GNLC Global Network Learning Cities participated in the meeting. The cities were Villa María in Córdoba, La Matanza in Buenos Aires, and San Justo in Santa Fe.

I am very excited to let you know about this Webinar. It is the first time that our Australian Learning Cities have come together to discuss how their cities and communities address the big issues facing communities around the world (for example, climate crisis, the public health challenges, rapid technological change, changing world of work, inequality, gender equality, peace…) at a local level through a commitment to lifelong learning. (Canning City Council, Circular Head Council, Melton City Council, Wollongong City Council, and Wyndham City Council).
Brimbank is its own local government city adjacent to Melbourne, Australia, and created a lifelong learning strategy from which has grown their Learning Futures suite of programs targeting youth.
We are very pleased with the response to the call for abstracts for the upcoming PASCAL Conference in Tampere. Because we would like some further presentations within a number of the sub-themes, we have extended the Call to 11 April, 2022. All of those who submit proposals will get a decision no later than 25 April.
A Good Space is a community change-maker cooperative based in Singapore, enacting activities that respond to issues or challenges with care. The key approach is to build resilience and sustainability to flourish.
