E-Report: 13th PASCAL International Conference - Learning Cities 2040, University of Glasgow

A number of specific reports from the Conference summarise the key discussions undertaken that exemplify a shared identity in exploring Learning City developments.  Papers, showcases and discussions looked towards the future with ideas, experience and insights focussing on the Learning City Networks themes and integrating aspects of the conference challenge question. 

GRALE III - The third Global Report on Adult Learning and Education Executive Summary and Report

The third Global Report on Adult Learning and Education (GRALE III) draws on monitoring surveys completed by 139 UNESCO Member States to develop a differentiated picture of the global state of adult learning and education (ALE). It evaluates countries’ progress in fulfilling the commitments they made in the Belém Framework for Action, which was adopted at the Sixth International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VI) in 2009.

UALL Awards 2017 - Applications are now invited

The UALL Awards Scheme recognises and celebrates projects, programmes, research and practices that promote lifelong learning in the Higher Education Sector.  The Scheme is open to all institutions in UALL membership. The winner will be announced at the UALL 2017 Annual Conference at York (5-7 April).

For 2017 there is a new international category for innovative engagement/research in an international or transnational context.

Agenda 2030 – Education and Lifelong Learning in the Sustainable Development Goals

This new publication looks at the outcomes of the post 2015 process from the MDGs and Education for All to Goal 4 in the Sustainable Development Goals. It comes with articles on the conceptual framework, the right to education, role of civil society, lifelong literacy, global learning, and monitoring youth and adult education as part of the Education Agenda 2030 of the SDGs. It has been edited by Heribert Hinzen and Sylvia Schmitt for the series International Perspectives in Adult Education (IPE 75) published by DVV International.
