What:  We are recruiting for a new Chair to lead, and new Trustees to join, our dedicated and active Board of Trustees. You will be a voice for ILC, promoting the organisation's work to ensure that ILC is regarded as the UK's leading authority on the impact of demographic change on society.

Why:  The impact of longevity on society isn’t just about older people: it will impact everyone. We believe society must adapt now so we, and future generations, can all enjoy the benefits of long lives. 

We know the numbers. We understand the challenges. What happens next will define us for generations.

We need your help to make this happen.

Who:  Whether you are interested in the role of Chair or Trustee, you will have an interest in our work, care about the issues and have a passion for making a difference.

As Chair, you will understand charity governance, have strong influencing skills and have good political and policy connections, as well as a good understanding of and connections with business.

We also want to hear from all candidates interested in becoming a Trustee. However, to strengthen the existing skillset on our Board we would particularly welcome applications from those who have a strong knowledge or professional expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• IT strategies, digital development and data security
• Legal expertise
• UK and International influencing and engagement
• Marketing and not-for-profit fundraising expertise
• People management/HR expertise
• Experience of working in financial services
• Business to Business sales
