World Cities Day 2019

What is the 'World Cities Day - Lunchtime Lightning Talk'?

Every week more than 1.4 million people move to cities and by 2050 the United Nations estimate that 70% of the world’s population will live in cities. To celebrate World Cities Day, the School of Social and Political Sciences and the Glasgow Centre for International Development has invited researchers across the University of Glasgow to share their urban research as part of a 'Lunchtime Lightning Talk'. Each presenter has 4 minutes, eight slides, 30 seconds a slide to showcase their research and have the chance to win a ‘Gold’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Bronze’ prize for the best presentation as chosen by attendees.
