Paradigm Shifts | FONDAPOL - a second paper by Josef Konvitz
Josef Konvitz, Chair, PASCAL International Observatory, has produced a second paper for FONDAPOL, the French Foundation for Policy Innovation. "Paradigm Shifts" is about how and why they are as difficult as they are, at times, necessary. And ours may be such a time.
Konvitz explains why spatial change is tearing apart the dominant paradigm of the 20th century which has put economic well-being and security first.
Maybe the environment and health will be at the centre of the next paradigm, but we won't really know for another ten years - or more.
The implications for education are clear: give people the skills and vision to cope with the paradigm we have and the one we do not yet have. Resilience is part of the equation; so is being robust.
