Friuli Venezia Giulia region workshop on Learning Regions: Adult education in formal and non-formal settings, 26 April 2021

Judith James, co-ordinator of PASCAL’s Learning Cities Networks (LCN), Reimagining Economic Futures, and Michael Osborne, Director of PASCAL in Europe, were delighted to be able to present in the third of a series of four workshops organised by Friuli Venezia Giulia region concerning learning regions and cities on Monday 26 April 2021.

In this workshop, the focus was Adult education in formal and non-formal settings, and Judith focused on the work of the city of Swansea in this field. Mike meantime gave an overview of PASCAL’s work as a whole in this area. The PASCAL LCN city of Mod’in was also represented through a presentation by Orna Mager.

The workshops as a whole have been organised to cover all four cities in the region, which is a member of PASCAL’s LCN as are the cities of Trieste and Udine

Previous workshops have been held as follows:

  • Pordenone, Monday 15th March 2021: Vocational Training: an opportunity for young people
  • Udine, Wednesday 24th March 2021: How to promote and support digital citizenship

A fourth workshop will be held in Gorizia on the topic: How to promote higher education

We look forward to Pordenone and Gorizia joining the LCNs.
