UCLG and Barcelona Provincial Council launch their first online course for the SDG Localization

Subscribers may be interested in an online course, free and available in English, French, and Spanish, that has been developed by the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, UN-Habitat, UNDP-Art, and the Barcelona Provincial Council, and which is about the Localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their implementation at the local and national level.

The MOOC is mainly aimed at technical and political leaders working in the fields of international relations, sustainable development cooperation, public policy planning, or other areas of government work related to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

All people involved in managing local public policies for sustainable development in any part of the world can apply to the course, which will have a total duration equivalent to 63 teaching hours. All contents are based on the series of Training of Trainers Modules on the Localization of the SDGs, produced by the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, UN-Habitat, UNDP-Art, and the Barcelona Provincial Council.
 
Curriculum:

  • Introduction - Localizing the SDGs (4:35)
  • Raising sensitivity and promotion
  • Theory & Practice Exercises: How do we localize the SDGs in development plans?
  • Monitoring

No examinations and no certifications are issued after the course completion. User registration is required
