International Scientific Conference in Cultural Studies - Ural Federal University - Call for papers
The International Scientific Conference in Cultural Studies will be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, 16-19 March, 2016, hosted by Ural Federal University - named after the First President of Russia B.N.Yeltsin - and Yekaterinburg History Museum.
International Conference organized by:
- Center of Cultural Studies Teaching in Technical Universities in Russian Federation
- Cultural Studies and Design Department (Ural Federal University)
- Yekaterinburg History Museum
- The scientific group of Ural Federal University “Open City: from theoretical issues towards innovative projecting”
The event is open to all topics related to Cultural Studies and includes some session formats:
- International Scientific Conference “Communicative Reality of Postmodernity: Challenges and Perspectives”
- Youth International Scientific Conference “Open City as a Space of Contacts: Economy, Communication, Design”
- Workshop “The role of museum in the contemporary urban communications”
- Art exhibition “Yekaterinburg and its suburbs”
- Scientific Conference “Folklife Culture in the ХХI century: Outcomes and Perspectives”
The conference committee also invites papers related to the following themes:
- Ethical aspects of communicative reality
- The role of visual communication in the cultural practices
- The updated realias of intercultural communications
- Urban culture in the context of intercultural communications
All submissions will be reviewed and volume will be published. There is no registration fee. Participants themselves will cover their own round-trip travel expenses and accommodation.
Scientists, postgraduate students, candidates, students (in co-authorship with scientific advisers), as well as any specialists interested in the problem described, are invited to take part in the conference.

- the title of the proposed paper;
- an extended abstract consists of 3000 characters;
