Annual Report of the Australian Learning Community Network (ALCN)
It is with great pleasure that I attach the Australian Learning Community Network Annual Report 2019-2020. In particular, I highlight the activities of our learning communities. For example, read about:
- a Social Enterprise in Ballarat providing meals for those in need during these times.
- Gwydir Learning Region coping with drought, bushfires and now COVID-19, working on employable outcomes and skills for the workforce in a rural community.
- Hume City Council and the Hume Jobs and Skills Taskforce and Hume City Multiversity.
- Hume Learning Community championing lifelong learning for all and promoting equity and social inclusion.
- Libraries and Art Galleries in Townsville adapting to COVID-19 with tours of virtual galleries and Townsville Stories Online Platform.
- Brimbank Libraries delivering To Your Door services and many other programs as part of their Learning Community Strategy.
- Melton City Council's learning policy and strategies, its Learning Festival, and contribution to UNESCO GNLC and other forums.
- Wyndham Learning Community Strategy, international delegations, joining the UNESCO GNLC and PASCAL networks, and delivering another successful Learning Festival.
