Invitation to Join the Conversation on Faith, Spirituality, and Learning Cities - UNESCO Learning Cities Conference (Cork, IRE)

Those interested in joining an international learning and research network on faith, spirituality, and learning cities are welcome to attend a gathering of the PASCAL Learning Cities Network Faith/ Spirituality-based Learning City Development group on September 17, 2017, after the welcome reception for the UNESCO Learning Cities Conference. The time for the meeting is 8:15 PM - 9:30 PM. The exact room details will be sent upon inquiry to Dr. Connie Watson ([email protected]) or Dr. Rob Mark (Rob[email protected]), who will be co-chairing this gathering.

The gathering's main purpose is to bring together interested scholars and practitioners in this area (which could include multi or inter-faith dialogue, faith/ spirituality perspectives on health, community development, the arts, psychology, education, theology, social justice, multiculturalism, peace building, quality of life and sustainability) and create a network for learning, resource sharing, and collaboration. Highlights from previous meetings held in New York City will be shared, and this will move the network towards a core working group of interested participants who can engage in concrete collaboration through cooperative or comparative research, a rotation of blog postings to share learning, and other means.

Additional meetings of the network this year include a similar gathering in Pretoria, South Africa, at the PASCAL Observatory Conference 2018.
