ASEM Think Tanks' Dialogue Report

In November 2013, PASCAL came together in Hong Kong with a range of partners from Asia and Europe to conduct its 11th conference on the topic of Cities Learning Together: Local Communities in the Sustainable and Healthy Learning City. The partners included the EU Centre at RMIT, the Hong Kong Institute of Education, DVV International, the Asian and South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education, Citynet, the Asia Pacific Universities Community Education Network, Eurocities, the International Council for Adult Education and the East Asia Forum for Adult Education.

One of the outcomes of the Conference was a plan for several of these organisations to work together on building partnerships related to the ASEM People's Forum, and the opportunities which that provides for ASPBAE, EAEA and others to work together to advance the post-2015 sustainable development goals, not least those parts related to education.

The broader umbrella for the ASEM People's forum is provided by ASEM itself. A roundtable in Singapore in early June provided an opportunity for a number of researchers and advocates to come together to review the current status and ASEM.

The report of the roundtable is featured below and attached for download.
