‘Conversations with Learners’ Event, Wednesday 10th November, 2021, 10am-11am Dublin time
The Irish Network of Learning Cities (INLC) is proud to present ‘Conversations with Learners’, a fantastic free event that seeks to promote learning and diverse learner stories from across the island of Ireland.
This online event will feature an introduction to each of the five INLC learning cities and showcase a learner’s story relevant to the themes of widening access and the learner centred approaches needed in a learning city.
The event will celebrate the learners’ stories and the different pathways to learning.
Attendees will also get the opportunity to meet and pose questions to the Coordinators of each learning city in the Irish Network.
As a network, we hope that our event will help people from all backgrounds to appreciate the fun in learning and the many diverse and different ways there are to learn.
We believe that lifelong learning is crucial to the quality of an individual’s life; it boosts self-esteem and overall wellbeing, increases employability, helps individuals to meet new people from a range of different backgrounds and transcend social boundaries, all while enriching local communities.
The Irish Network of Learning Cities (INLC) is a five-city joint initiative to promote learning across the cities, city regions and the island of Ireland. The cities include Limerick, Belfast, Cork, Derry Strabane and Dublin.
This event is part of the Global Learning Festival, a festival in its second year that is organised by Wyndham and Melton Learning Cities in Australia.
