The Third Annual Future of Places Conference will be held in Stockholm on June 29-July1 co-hosted by the Project for Public Spaces, UN Habitat, and the Axson Johnson Foundation. Outcomes from the three annual conferences will feed into the United Nations global summit, Habitat III to be held in 2016.

New York based Project for Public spaces has promoted place-making around the world, at times with partners such as UN Habitat.. Place-making principles have been applied in many cities around the world such as Adelaide in Australia, as well as in New York.
