Queensland Seniors Strategy

The Queensland Government is currently developing a Seniors Strategy for Queensland as an aspect of developing Queensland as an "Age-friendly Community".

PASCAL is following up on the workshop on Seniors as Lifelong Learners" held in Melboutne last November by holding a symposium on the same subject in Brisbane on 23 March on the same subject in partnershop with the State Library of Queensland, Australian College of Educators, University of the Third Age, and Mens Sheds. Discussions are proceeding and other joint sponsors may be added. The symposium will be hosted by the State Library of Queensland in their Southbank building and is free. It willl be the third PASCAL Inclusion workshop in Australia with the Brisbane Symposium following workshops in Townsville and Melbourne. A report on the Symposium will be available on the Networks web site.

Inclusion will be one of the five strands for the PASCAL International Conference at the University of Glasgow on 3-5 June. Papers on various aspects of the subject are unvited. Full information is available on the conference web site (http://conference2016.pascalobsevatory.org)
