The Nature Publishing Group and the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) have partnered to publish a new open access research journal on the Science of Learning. The journal will foster the merger of neuroscience with education which is seen as having great potential to contribute to advances in approaches to learning in many contexts The Deputy Director of the Queensland Brain Institute, Professor Pankaj Sah, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the new journal. He is also Director of the Australian Research Council's Science of Learning Research Centre which is located at QBI with a number of partners across Australia.

The journal is online at www.nature.com/np/sci/learn and is open for submissions.
